Forklift Job Outlook for 2018-2019

One of the popular questions asked of us is what might the future hold for forklift job prospects

and opportunities. Based on our research, here are the job outlook predictions we are making

for 2018/2019:

• For the next few years, we expect job openings for forklift operators to be above average.

There will be a slight increase in employment in the shipping and receiving field as experts predict

an increase in imports of goods for North American for the foreseeable future.

• Most of these jobs will be full-time employment, with part-time jobs a secondary option.

Temporary or contract work will also increase in market share for these industries.

• Average salaries for forklift operators across North America are expected to be higher than

the average wage for a general labor worker.

• Often, forklift operators also enjoy longer employment periods than general labor workers.

In general, the future looks promising for people choosing to become forklift operators across

North America.
